dissonant

son은 'sound(소리)'라는 뜻을 가진 어근이다. sonata는 악기 한두 개로 연주하는 작품을 의미하는데, 원래 이탈리아어 동사로써 sounded라는 뜻이다. dissonant는 음이 서로 출동하는 '불협화음의', 의견 따위가 '조화되지 않는, 양립할 수 없는'이란 뜻으로 쓰인다 (sounds or ideas that clash or are contradictory).
