simil은 'like, resembling, similar(비슷한)', 'to make like(비슷하게 만들다)'는 뜻의 어근이다. simultaneous events는 동시에 발생한 사건이며, fax를 통해 들어오는 facsimile는 원본과 정확히 일치한다.
